Jenni Sparks has collaborated with Evermade to create the definitive culture map of London. This hand drawn map of London meticulously highlights the London boroughs and neighbourhoods complete with the quirky in-the-know hallmarks and landmarks that make the city so unique.
Available in two standard sizes for easy framing.
Note: framing may take up to 5 working days before dispatch.
It took two months of intensive research before Jenni even started the illustration process! She then spent two and a half months painstakingly drawing this beautifully detailed map.
With the print designed and produced from the mapping of the actual geographic tube map; not only is this print a design must-have, but also a handy reference for office walls and at home as great party talkers! Full of fun facts such as celebrity birthplaces, local markets, social stereotypes, favourite pubs – they are all on there…
Hopefully you’ll be able to spot your London haunts!
The print is densely packed with hundreds of illustrations representing both well known facts and new discoveries. There’s a giant bagel – to illustrate a famous 24-hour Jewish bakery in Brick Lane; and Del Boy’s beloved Peckham, shown by his three-wheeler and catchphrase ‘Lovely Jubbly’. Among the other points of interest are markets, pubs, parks, along with tidbits of local history – such as a reference to Van Gogh the 19h-century Dutch painter, who lodged in Stockwell, south-west London for six months.
The map covers most of zones 1 and 2; it goes as far north as Cricklewood, Stoke Newington and Hackney Marshes. The south covers all areas up to and including Brockley, Herne Hill, Dulwich and Putney Heath. The east of the map goes as far as West Ham, Canning Town, Greenwich. The most western parts of the map are Barnes, White City and Willesden Junction.
For the ideal gift, we offer a framing option. Framed in a wooden frame. Glazed with a crystal clear shatter resistant acrylic (PMMA) for safety. Choose between a painted white wash or black finish.
Framed prints will be send via courier. (Usually next-day within UK)
